Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is the lead community-based care agency for North Central Florida, including Madison and Taylor counties. Their mission is to enhance the community’s ability to protect and nurture children by building, maintaining and constantly improving our network of family support services. PSF is contracted by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) to deliver comprehensive child welfare services to children who are victims of abuse and neglect. This includes licensed foster care and adoption from foster care, as well as support services for families involved in their system of care. PSF also works with at-risk families to prevent child abuse and to decrease the risk of children entering the out-of-home care system by working with community organizations to connect families with needed resources. This is accomplished by participating in local Shared Services meetings and operating four community based resource centers which serve close to 40,000 patrons yearly.
